Program Overview

Corporate culture refers to the implicit rules, beliefs, rituals and behaviours that shape where, how and what work gets done in an organization or team. Leaders play a crucial role in setting the cultural tone for their team or organization. In addition, individual team members and teams as a whole reinforce culture, often without being consciously aware of it.

This flagship experience combines the techniques and tools from positive psychology, appreciative inquiry and social sciences to help you and your team discover your unique team culture.

Your team will leave the experience with an inspiring, concrete plan to make your shared vision for a brighter future a reality.

The Program Components

A Cultural Exploration

Using concepts drawn from the work of corporate culture expert Dr. Edgar Schein, with methods drawn from sociology, team members will explore their culture through a photographic “Cultural Exploration”.

Teams uncover their unspoken beliefs, values, norms, assumptions and behaviour by discovering clues (artifacts) within your organization or group. This interactive experience focuses on how culture shapes work and most importantly, how team members play critical roles as cultural ambassadors.

At Our Best Interviews

Combining approaches from positive psychology and appreciative inquiry, your team will work in small groups to discover the mindsets and behaviours already associated with your unique team culture; often invisible but in plain sight.

Through this “Fresh Eyes discovery process, your team will gain a greater appreciation for what is already working well, learn how to capitalize on those strengths and create an action plan to amplify your best culture with pride.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Culture Design

Professors Sigal Barsade and Olivia A. O’Neill were among the first to write about the strong and direct link between how employees feel at work and their level of engagement, productivity and collaboration.

Building on one or more program components described above, team members tap into and strengthen those emotions that positively shape culture.

Culture Mapping

Taking from the work already completed in A Cultural Exploration, At Our Best Interviews and the EQ Culture Design experiences, your team will populate a custom-designed wall map depicting your inspired team culture. This culture map will help the team focus on what matters most, while serving as an inspirational action plan for creating your ideal team culture.

Turn your culture map into a powerful immersive takeaway through the magic of augmented reality or virtual reality.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Natalie on several projects. Most recently, I hired her to help me lead my new team. Natalie is an absolute joy to work with. Her insights and coaching helped me see both the big picture and make the tactical changes necessary to lead my new and growing team. The response from my group based on my new leadership approach has been incredible! Team morale and productivity have never been better.

I highly recommend Natalie for her leadership development and team-development work.
